The Regional Transit Connection Discount Card Program (RTC) is a regional identification card program for seniors and disabled persons and recognized by Bay Area transit agencies for discount fare programs.

Applications for a Disabled Placard are made through the Department of Motor Vehicles. Two types of placards are available in California. A temporary placard is good for up to six (6) months. A permenant placard is renewable every other year.
