There is a great need for nurses and social workers, especially those with language skills. Here in S.F. Chinatown, we cannot find enough bilingual nurses. Bilingual social workers are also in high demand.

The Center on Disabilities at California State University, Northridge (CSUN) offers a "Assistive Technology Applications Certificate Program (ATACP)." It is the largest Assistive Technology (AT) certificate program in the U.S. and offers 100 hours of a wide range of practical AT applications and information.
There are two pathways: "Traditional" = 52 hours online + 40 hours live + 8-hour project and "FastTrax"= 76 hours on-line + 16 hours of live training + 8-hour project.
Who Should Attend? Individuals with Disabilities and/or their Family Members. Educators, including Special Ed Administrators. Public and Private Rehabilitation Personnel. Employers and Human Resource Specialists and Accommodation Specialists. ADA and Section 508 Administrators for Universities/Colleges. Assistive and Information Technology Specialists. Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, and Speech/Language Pathologists.
